Why work with me?

Designing a closet is so much more than just "shelves and poles." It really is about the feeling you get when you walk into your closet. After all, this is the most intimate space in your home, and there is definitely a right way, and a wrong way to design a closet. My experience comes from working for the leader in closets; California Closets. In my time as a designer for their company, I found myself up against many builders and cabinet makers. My chance of earning the clients business was always 50/50. If it was a money issue for my client, the cabinet maker/builder earned the business. If it came down to the design, I got the business. It is with this is in mind I realized I could merge with trade people and offer quality designs, for YOUR prices. If you are currently selling closets, I can offer you the most functional design for your client. If you are not currently selling closets, I can design a display for your showroom that will serve as an additional service for your clients, and I would be happy to service them in full, and pay a commission to your company.

I offer two main options for people in the trade. If neither of them work, get in touch with me, and we'll come up with a plan that works for both of us!

Option 1:
  • I meet with your client and spend time talking with them about their closet needs and how they want their space to function.
  • I take detailed measurements of their space as well as their possessions.
  • I set a follow up appointment at which time I review the design with them and get approval.
  • After approval we move to order parts and set install.
  • Turn-around time is approximately two weeks from the approval.
  • A professional installer with multiple years in the closet industry will install their closet.

Option 2:
  • I meet with your client and spend time talking with them about their closet needs and how they want their space to function.
  • I take detailed measurements of their space as well as their possessions.
  • I design their space and have it approved by them.
  • I turn the design over to you with detailed instructions on how to lay it out.
  • You price the design through your company.
  • You manufacture and install. This option can be done with wood products or melamine.

I can also have parts shipped nationally, if you have clients beyond the Twin Cities area.
